Objective. Quantify the performance of paddle blades in an objective way.
Our client, a company specializing in the world of paddle, wants to characterize the blades on the market to compare them objectively. There is no standardized equipment to make these measurements and wants to be able to make these tests over time and as there are new paddle blades of interest.
The parameters they want to know objectively and comparatively are: power, ball output, vibration, handling, hardness, sweet spot and control.
Solution. We designed an ad hoc testing station for paddle blades.
Our proposal was to design a customized test station that could objectively and quantitatively characterize the parameters they were interested in.
As a first step, the client selected 15 different blades in order to optimize the parameters of the new test station we were going to design.
For the design of the station, we selected the most suitable sensors for each parameter in order to be able to record the data of the different parameters of the blades. After optimizing all the tests, we created the database to record the data obtained from the blades and correlate all the results with each other.
Currently we are still testing the new models of blades that our customer sends us when they have blades of their interest to continue feeding the database generated.
