Problem
The current material is not able to pass the customer’s sun exposure test. It is unknown if it is a problem of the pigment, additive or base material.
Objective
Propose one or several solutions to improve the resistance of the current material and develop an accelerated test that allows studying several alternatives.
ATRIA Solution
To achieve the objective of the project, different base materials, additives and pigments were selected, with which several prototype samples were prepared.
These prototype samples were tested in an accelerated aging test, which allowed selecting the ones with the best resistance.
Once the best solutions were selected, real samples of different colors were prepared. These samples were taken to the complete test, where it was verified that they met all the requirements demanded by the client.
