Differences between Artificial Vision, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality

Today we want to talk you about a technology that now is not as futurist, before everybody saw it so far but it is definitely here, we are talking about virtual reality.
But, what are the Artificial Vision (AV), the Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR)? Let’s see some basic definitions in order to difference them:

• Artificial Vision: It is to acquire images from the real world, process and analyse them to get additional information to can be processed by a computer or to visualize ourselves.

• Virtual Reality: It allows us to create a graphical three-dimensional space. We can move, interact and play in a zone where we want to stay like a tourist place or easily a place totally invented.

• Augmented Reality: It is to introduce artificial elements in our reality, introducing imagen, draws, lights, … between us in order to make activities easier, help people, or just for fun.

Focusing more of virtual reality, it seems to be focused only on videogames, but it has a lot of more applications such as health, education, sports, among others. So that, with PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR, Microsoft HoloLens, Google and Apple, this technology is not futurist now. Not too long, it will be more common to have one of these Virtual Reality systems at homes, such as having a TV or game console now.
