Aerial drones, UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), RPA (Remotely Piloted Aircraft), are some of the names given to the well-known flying devices we see today. There are a lot of use applications, from leisure for children up to shipment of goods, like one of the great electronic commerce has started: Amazon.
It seems a mad idea when Amazon planned its messenger drones, around 3 years ago. Many people doubted that this idea was something possible but here it is: Amazon and its Prime Air project have taken the first step in United Kingdom. A resident of a small town near Cambridge has received the first package sent by an Amazon drone. The shipment has been produced independently, without human pilot, and the journey has lasted for 13 minutes. The resident has received an Amazon Fire TV directly at home and, as a gift, a packet of popcorn.
This delivery is part of the testing program that Amazon is performing. For now, it has only two customers, but it will extend to dozens of customers who lives a few kilometers from the logistics center and expand it to hundreds of customers progressively. Then, you can see a video, already famous in the net, of this first air shipment:

It uses GPS technologies, artificial vision to put down the package and a large number of sensors. This autonomous flight has a great projection and from ATRIA, we know that these innovative ideas are those that remain in an increasingly competitive market.
Amazon packages begin to sail the skies, a new era begins for shipping goods.
