Biofilm is generated on a piece of polypropylene (PP) because it is in contact with wastewater.

Objective

New microstructure that manages to alter the roughness of the piece so that it is superhydrophobic and does not adhere or form biofilm.

ATRIA Solution

Texturing of the interior of the mold through IMM (In Mold Microstructuring) so that once injected they acquire the new texture on the surface.
Transfer of the microstructure from the mold to the final injected part.
