Obtain a hydrophobic stainless steel capable of favoring drying and repelling unwanted food stains.

Objective

Search and selection of coatings that resist to abrasion and resist high temperatures, selection of the application method and performance of resistance tests.

ATRIA Solution

5 coatings were chosen, which were subjected to different resistance tests to test the durability of the coating. To check the durability of the coating, the contact angle of a selected liquid and the surface area were measured before and after.
