Problem

The client manufactures parts with various combinations of metals that corrode in the presence of a certain liquid.

Objective

Measure the corrosion potential of each material separately in the presence of the target liquid.

ATRIA Solution

Potentiostat tests were performed to determine the corrosion potential (OCP) of each material in the working liquid. In addition, the polarization curves of the materials were recorded, in order to know the dynamics of corrosion in said medium. With this it was possible to determine the best combinations of materials to avoid corrosion.
